MAID OF HONOR
Lauren Redmerski: Lauren and Ariele were seated next to each other on the 1st day of 1st grade and have been best friends ever since. Lauren got her Masters in Education from the Bank Street College in NYC and currently teaches at the Brearley School on the Upper East Side. Need to know how to manage a roomful of 5 year olds and wield crayons like a magician? Lauren's your woman. Love sprinkles and headbands? Talk to her.
BEST MAN
Dan Stewart: Dan is Perry's little brother, but let's not forget that he's 2 whole months older than Ariele and 3 inches taller than Perry. Currently pursuing a Masters in Engineering at Boston University, Dan lives in Belmont, MA with his wife, Jenn, and their dog, Tenaya. While his choice of shoes is suspect (Vibram toesy shoes -- you know the ones), Perry and Ariele love his free spirit and fun loving attitude.
GROOMSMEN
Dan Fredman: Dan (or as everyone who knew him before he turned 20 knows him, Danny) is Ariele's older brother. He and Perry have bonded over geeky things like Star Wars and Boston's transportation system (read: THE BIG DIG). He taught Ariele the fine art of self-defense by practice, and currently works at the University of Illinois @ Chicago in the Office of Sustainability and as a teacher. He lives with his girlfriend Steph and their Havanese dog, Gizmo.
Alex Sedler: You'll be beaten over the head with the fact that Alex introduced Ariele and Perry, but before that, Alex went to Blind Brook High School with Ariele. Perry and Alex were fraternity brothers and frequent sports teammates at Emory University. Beyond being a keen sportsman, Alex is known for his bubbly personality and enthusiastic nature [we kid!]. But really, Alex is pretty funny and a very valued member of team Periele.
Jared Finkel: Jared and Perry met early in their Freshmen year of college at Emory, and were fast friends. Despite their team differences (Mets/Jets for Jared and Red Sox/Patriots for Perry), Jared has been a true pal. A welcome addition to any kitchen, Jared is also credited with teaching Perry to love the Jewish holidays. He lives in NYC and is some sort of fancy accountant.
Luke Stillman: Luke is Perry's 1st cousin on his dad's side and NYC neighbor. They grew up together during summers on Nantucket Island, biking, golfing, and body surfing to their hearts content. Perry and Ariele have enjoyed many outings with Luke and his wife, Jill, whether at their respective apartments or catching a movie. Luke has a knack for all things video game and does something no one knows how to explain in New York City.
BRIDESMAIDS
Lauren Piccolo: Can you tell which crazy, bespectacled girl is Ariele and which is Lauren? Growing up, teachers and parents alike would confuse these two nerds at heart, but now that Ariele and Lauren are wise and mature, they're quite pleased with the comparison. Even as Lauren pursues her dreams while living in Florence, Italy, the two find time for intergalactic skype chats and phone dates. Ariele will never forgive Lauren for her ugly foot neuroses, but is thankful to have found a lifelong friend who loves cheese just as much as she does.
Jessica Novick: Ariele and Jess first bonded in 5th grade homeroom when Jess asked Ariele to partner up for a writing project. Whether in the classroom or on a sports field, Ariele and Jess have had many fruitful partnerships over the years and therefore reasons to be so tight. Jess is a fellow camp nerd, deli lover, thirsty person, and celeb watcher but beyond that, she knows how to look on the bright side of a situation and offer sound advice on all of life's conundrums. Jess works at an NYC media firm and takes pictures with famous people like it's her day job.
Kelly T...: "Kelly is fun. Crazy crazy fun." - Perry
Ariele and Kelly met in Ms. Lichtling's Kindergarten class, but their friendship truly blossomed in Ms. Greco's class in first grade. Through science projects and sing-alongs, they always know how to make eachother laugh, and it doesn't hurt that Kelly can bust a move like nobody's business. After graduating from Cornell, Kelly moved to New York City and currently works in HR bossing around finance muckity mucks. She spends her free time reading teen fiction and making recommendations to Ariele.
LAST, BUT NOT LEAST!!!
Meredith Brown: Let's just get it out of the way, Perry and Mer have a thing. Aside from that, Meredith is a pretty fantastic person -- she's the best listener a friend could ask for, and has been since way back when. Ariele was lucky enough to go to London with Meredith when they were 16, sightseeing, learning, and making new friends together. Ten years later, these two still have the same enlightening conversations and Mer has used her big heart towards helping others -- she's currently a social worker at a counseling facility in Manhattan.
